Ah the joys and pains of infrared. Playing with an IR filter on the Leica M8 to see what comes out. Here, from a parade series last year in Niles, MI. Almost an atomic treatment of a color world at ground zero.
I’m a Detroit area photographer who loves the energy of the street (and grocery store aisles) but is constantly distracted by quiet idiosyncratic moments in isolation. They catch my attention with more of a question than an answer. It's not always the obvious image of a clearly definable action. It's the unstated that gets me. More like jazz; it's what's in between the notes that makes the melody. At least I think I can hear something. And I wish to share it with all who want to see.
